Get Fit With Stainless Steel Drink Bottles

Getting fit and healthy is something most Australians would love to aspire to, but getting started can be difficult when you’re already settled into a comfortable routine.

However, taking care of your body is just as important as taking care of the environment, so if you’re a user of eco friendly products, it could be time to think about getting fit.

Here are some ideas on how to begin your fitness journey – just remember to bring stainless steel drink bottles along with you!

Do something you love

The word ‘exercise’ can conjure up nasty images of endless hours spent pounding the pavement or walking on the treadmill. However, getting fit doesn’t have to be boring, and you’re more likely to stick to an activity if you enjoy it.

Pick something that plays to your strengths and preferences – anything from bush walking, hockey, bike riding or rollerblading could work for you!

Join a sports team

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 4.5 million Australians aged over 15 were involved in a team sport in 2010, which equates to over a quarter of the total population. That many Australians can’t be wrong – so why not join one yourself?

On top of helping you to get fit, team sport is a great way to make new friendships, and keep motivation levels high. If your team is counting on you turning up, you’re far more likely to get up off the couch! There are plenty of team sports available in Australia. Try joining a netball, rugby, hockey or soccer team and see how you go.

Enlist the help of a friend

Having someone there to share the journey is a great motivator, so rope a friend or family member into getting fit with you.

Drink up

Above all, it’s most important to remember to keep hydrated when you’re pushing your body to be more active. According to the State Government of Victoria’s Better Health Channel, adult males need approximately 2.6 litres of water and females require 2.1 litres, but those participating in physical activity may need even more than this.

Remember to sip on water from your stainless steel drink bottle during the day, and bring it along when you head out to exercise.
